Nollywood filmmaker, Chidi Nwokeabia, is bereaved. Chidi reportedly lost his mother, Deaconess Nkechi Monica Nwokeabia early last month, precisely on September 9th. She was aged 90 years.
Already, the filmmaker has put his colleagues, friends and well wishers on notice as his family have picked Friday, December 1, 2023 for the burial.
According to a buroal programme sighted by thebladengr.com, the funeral rites of late Deaconess Nwokeabia will commence with a service of songs at the Grace of God Mission, Awkunanaw, Enugu on Monday, November 27, 2023.
It will be followed by a Christian wake keep on Thursday November 30, 2023 at the family compound of late Chief B.O. Nwokeabia Igwillo, Enugwu Akwu Achi in Oji River Local Government area of Enugu State.
Her remains will leave the General Hospital Miguel Oji River to a burial service to be conducted at the Obodoukwu Football Field, Enugu Akwu Achi. This will be followed by interment at the Nwokeabia family homestead.
Chidi Nwokeabia, a veteran filmmaker, is also a founding father and Board of Trustee member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN.
